High-Precision Joint Frame for 6-Axis Industrial Robot
Challenge
Customer needed a lightweight joint frame for a 6-axis industrial robot with concentricity of 0.01mm between bearing seats, perpendicularity of 0.02mm, and weight under 800g for reduced inertia.
Solution
BestField used 5-axis CNC machining on Aluminum 7075-T6 with optimized wall thickness. Custom boring bars achieved concentricity. Hard anodizing provided wear resistance for bearing interfaces.

- Concentricity achieved: 0.008mm (spec: 0.01mm)
